SO HOW HARD IS IT TO ACHIEVE A BEAUTIFUL STRIPED LAWN - LETS ASK JAMES !
A good family friend of ours recently purchased a new house and set about transforming his lawn. He came to see us for advice on what he wanted to achieve and we gladly advised. James, at this time had an old electric lawn mower which was clearly not up to the challenge of the new lawn.
After a short discussion we recommended that he apply a treatment of granular based weed & feed with mosskiller fertiliser through a broadcast fertiliser spreader & because James wanted stripes on the lawn we recommended a good quality petrol, roller lawnmower.
A few months later we recommended James put down another granular based fertiliser with the make up 3-6-8 + 4% FE. You can imagine our delight when James sent through the picture below.
What a transformation, James now has a lawn he can be proud of and the envy of all his neighbours.
Total cost to achieve this, including a second hand roller mower, around £550.00.
At the end of the season James is going to give the lawn 1 more feed to give good root strength, make it disease resistant and ready for the on-set of winter.
James though hasn't told his wife about the mower, spreader & fertiliser purchases and she still thinks he's achieved this transformation with his little electric machine and hard work.
